Abstract | The authors have evaluated the characteristics of QUIK-GEL bentonite slurry to be used as a borehole sealant at solids contents varying between 5 and 10% and have obtained some interesting findings. The discussors have been investigating the characteristics of various bentonite products (e.g., chips, pellets, and grouts) to evaluate their suitability for use in sealing small diameter geotechnical explorations holes and wish to add data from other bentonite grouts that is relevant to the conclusions made by the authors. |
