Dr. Chul Park attends the 84th Annual Water Environment Federation Technology Exhibition and Conference

Student Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is selected to receive the 2011 International Outstanding Student Chapter Award

Professor David Reckhow will be traveling to the University of Notre Dame, Indiana to give a series of lectures.

Professor Don DeGroot is organizing a 2 day NSF workshop that will bring together invited experts and researchers working on offshore geohazards.

Professor Don DeGroot is giving an invited presentation at the Deep Foundation Institute and Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers 14th Annual Geotechnical Seminar.

The Massachusetts Amherst Student Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) has been selected to receive the 2011 International Outstanding Student Chapter Award.

In July, Dr. Song Gao attended the 19th International Symposium on Transportation and Traffic Theory (ISTTT) in Berkeley, CA.

Radhameris (Radha) Gómez, a Ph.D. student in the Transportation group was selected as an Eno Fellow for participation in the 19th annual Eno Leadership Development Conference.

Dr. Brown was invited to do a presentation on the subject of "human-hydrologic systems" at the 2011 Catchment Sciences Gordon Research Conference.

David Ahlfeld, co-chair of the Organizing Committee and faculty member of the Civil and Environmental Department , is very enthusiastic about the attendance and participation at the National Conference on Engineering and Ecohydrology for Fish Passage held at UMass at the end of June.

A class of graduate engineering students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is collaborating with a local inventor to reinvent the very nuts and bolts that hold together the machinery of modern life.

Dr. Gao will attend the 18th Triennial Conference of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (lFORS).

Robert House, EIT, a 2009 graduate of the Civil Engineering (B.S.) program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has been awarded the 2011 Leo Casagrande Scholarship.

Dr. Ni will be attending the 2011 International Conference on Vehicular Electronics and Safety in Beijing, China.

Dr. Mi-Hyun Park will attend the Annual Conference of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in Washington DC.

Dr. John Tobiason and recent MS graduate student Yesher Larsen will attend the International Water Association Leading Edge Technology conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands
