Dr. Brown presented recent results at a meeting of the Plan Formulation and Evaluation Group (PFEG) of the International Upper Great Lakes Study in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dr. Brown and his research group are devising a robust adaptation strategy that incorporates adaptive management techniques to manage releases and levels on Lake Superior with implications for all the Upper Great Lakes. Governed by the International Joint Commission, this multi-disciplinary study explores the ecological, social and economic implications of climate change to the Upper Great Lakes (Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie) which represent the largest managed freshwater water resources system In the world.
